Applications are now open for the Christchurch Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Therapy

Philosophy
The course prepares students with previous clinical or other professional qualifications to integrate arts therapy theory and practice into their professional role and also prepares students without previous clinical experience for further study towards a range of roles in the Arts Therapy professions. Students are encouraged to apply their creative and scholarly abilities to healing and self-development through the arts and explore the relationship between theories about the human
psyche and Arts Therapy practice.

Seminars
Whitecliffe Postgraduate Diploma in Arts Therapy requires attendance at 10 intensive weekend seminars, plus a substantial amount of independent course work. Students are free to continue in their employment, but must schedule release time as needed. Computer and Internet access are essential because communication with lecturers and other students is maintained online.

Enrolment
There is one intake through the year for the PG Dip AT (starting end of January), applications for admission are closing on October 1st. Applications received after the deadlines will be considered for entry subject to places being available.

The PG Dip AT has been approved and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) under the provisions of the Education Act 1989.
